For the longest time, I believed rest was something to be earned. I thought I could only rest if I was being productive—by that, I meant producing something for someone else, expending my energy until I was drained.
Now, I’ve adopted a different belief: rest is something we all deserve. To rest and replenish our energy—that, in itself, is truly productive.
Bees are known for being hard workers, constantly gathering nectar and pollen to make honey. So, I appreciated seeing this bee resting. If we could communicate, I wonder what this little bee would say about rest. Or perhaps, by simply witnessing her pause, she was giving me exactly the message I needed.
Let this be a bee-sized reminder to prioritize rest in whatever way feels good to you.
